Step 1: Install the extension Use the Chrome Web Store to install the Grammarly extension and begin using Grammarly right away! You can access it in the top right-hand corner of your screen as long as you have it installed.

Get your grammar on, with this step-by-step guide on how to get Grammarly installed and running in a Google Doc. First, you’ll need to head over the Grammarly site and create an account–you can do this with Facebook or by entering your email address and creating a password. Once you’ve created your account, you’ll need to download the extension for either Safari, Chrome or Firefox for desktop. The next step is easy: just go into your browser’s extensions section and choose add extension. You will be asked which browser you want the extension installed on (Chrome or Firefox), so make sure that’s what you choose! And that’s it! Now when you open up any document in your computer, there should be a little green Grammarly icon next to your word processor toolbar–click it to turn the extension on. To turn off the extension, click the green Grammarly icon again; simple as that!
As I mentioned before, using Grammarly requires an internet connection. If you’re using Google Docs online (instead of Microsoft Word) and are not connected to wifi or internet access, please note that Grammarly won’t work for you–however if you have access, then let’s get started with how to use Grammarly in Google Docs!

It’s so simple that it’ll only take a few minutes. The first thing you want to do is get your grammar on! Just install Grammarly and then sign up for a free account. Once you have an account, just log in and visit the settings tab. From there, you’ll see the option to set up your document type (you may have noticed this earlier if you installed some other add-ons). Next, navigate to that tab and make sure ‘Grammatical error detection’ is ticked as well as ‘Sentence length’. Then all that’s left is to visit the Add-on Settings tab. There, under the list of languages, you’ll find English. All you need to do is select it and click Save Changes. And now that you’re all set up with Grammarly, let’s get your grammar on by checking out these useful features: ✓check for any grammatical errors ✓show suggestions for improving sentences ✓learn about how much reading level or complexity each sentence has ✓get help punctuating correctly
It doesn’t matter what language you’re writing in – you can always get your grammar on with Grammarly. Get your grammar on.

Today we’re going to be getting your grammar on by adding grammarly on google docs. In order to start using it, you’ll need two things: the internet and a grammarly account!
Step one is, go up there and open up your browser and type grammarly into the search bar. When you find their homepage, click on Install Grammarly or Get Started Now. The process of installing it should take no more than three minutes. Click here for instructions on how to install Grammarly for Chrome and Firefox. Next, once you have installed it you will want to download the plugin for Word (Windows) or Pages (Mac). It may say Download Beta Version if you are not running an updated version of Windows 10 or MacOS Sierra. Simply follow the prompts when prompted with what folder to place it in- so long as that folder doesn’t already have another program in it- as these steps may vary depending on your operating system. Once the installation is complete, close out of any other windows so you can focus on getting your grammar on. You should now see a new box below File called Grammarly. Click it and wait for all 12 points to load up before clicking Done. If everything loads successfully, it will look like this

Common mistakes with using a comma

Commas are some of the most commonly used punctuation marks, and understanding how to correctly use them can be tricky. Here are seven rules for using commas:
1) If a sentence ends with a period or semi-colon, do not add a comma unless you are separating two independent clauses. 2) Put a comma before and after the word and if it is part of a list that is not set off by parentheses, brackets, or dashes. 3) Use a comma to separate items in lists when they are long and complex. 4) Separate parenthetical expressions from the rest of the sentence with commas. 5) Add a comma after introductory words like however, moreover, thus, then, etc., if they have already been given one place earlier in the sentence.
